Date Calculators

Date questions seem simple until you hit leap years, month ends, and conventions: is the end date included? Which week-numbering standard? These calculators state the rules they use on every page, use calendar arithmetic that never divides elapsed milliseconds by 86,400,000 (which breaks across daylight saving changes), and handle February 29 and year boundaries correctly.

When to use these tools

  • Counting down to deadlines, launches, and events
  • Computing exact age in years, months, and days
  • Working out business days for payroll, SLAs, and delivery estimates
  • Finding ISO week numbers for planning and reporting

Frequently asked questions

Does “days between dates” include both endpoints?
By default the tools count days after the start date through the end date (start exclusive, end inclusive), so from Jan 1 to Jan 2 is 1 day. Where it matters, a toggle lets you include both endpoints, and the convention is always labeled.
How are business days defined here?
Business days are weekdays that are not on your weekend selection (Saturday/Sunday by default) and not on a holiday list you provide. No country holiday calendar is assumed, because public holidays differ by country and region.
Which week numbering is used?
ISO 8601: weeks start on Monday, and week 1 is the week containing the first Thursday of the year. Under this standard some dates at the edges of a year belong to week 52 or 53 of the neighboring year.
